Emily's favorite guitar is a splendid Martin D-28, which she saved up for
and bought while she was in high school. Her husband, Dan, was
entrusted with getting this most prized possession home after a gig a couple
of years ago. Dan got distracted trying to get their tired son in the
car -- and left the Martin on a Los Angeles sidewalk. He got home,
realized what had happened, saw his marriage pass before his eyes, and drove
his 1971 Pontiac Firebird three miles in well under two minutes.
Miraculously, the guitar was still there. Dan has since retired as
Emily's roadie. |

Another longtime passion of Emily's is painting with a mix of pen, undiluted watercolors,
felt markers and colored pencils. |
